What time does the conference start and finish?

Accepted Answer

The conference starts at 8am on Tuesday 16th June. However, attendees are asked to arrive the day before on Monday 15th June - from lunchtime onwards.  The conference ends at 4pm on Wednesday 17th June.

Question 2

Can I arrive earlier than the 15th June?

Accepted Answer

Campus Belloch is a conference venue rather than a hotel venue and accommodation can only be provided in parallel with conference dates.  This means that extended accommodation dates that include arrival before 15th June is not possible on site. Alternative accommodation will need to be arranged.

Please contact group.communication@valeofoods.com if your accommodation is anything different from the standard 2 days booking of 15th - 17th June and we will be able to provide recommendations to you.

Question 3

Can I leave early on Day 2 to catch an earlier flight?

Accepted Answer

Attendees are not expected to leave the conference early and have been asked to book travel around the start and end times of the conference. The conference finishes at 4pm on 17th June, and it is recommended attendees look at flights departing after 18.30pm.

Question 4

There is no return flight available on the evening of 17th June. Can I extend my stay until 18th June?

All accommodation has been booked for 2 days as a standard arrangement.
If you require an extended booking due to flight departure times, please provide this information asap to group.communication@valeofoods.com as part of your registration details.
​Please be aware extended stays will require transfer to an alternative hotel if there is no additional capacity at the conference venue itself.

Which is the nearest airport?

Campus Belloch is approx 50 km from Barcelona El Prat international airport and it takes approx 45 mins to transfer between venue and airport. This is a large multi-terminal airport that connects Barcelona to many major European cities.

There is also a smaller airport located 60km away at Girona Consta Brava with a similar transfer time of 45 minutes. However, only a smaller number of airlines operate from here and flight options will be more limited.

Is there any pre-work required prior to attending the conference

Accepted Answer

A small amount of pre-work will be shared in advance of the event, along with associated timelines. More details can be found here.

Question 7

Is there a dinner planned for the evening of Monday 15th June?

Accepted Answer

A buffet dinner will be available in the main restaurant with a private section secured for Valeo Foods. Restaurant opening times are from 19.30 - 21.30.

A table booking will be made for 19.30. This is an open invitation for anyone who has arrived at the venue before this time. If this time is not convenient, you can eat at any time within the operating hours.

For anyone arriving after 21.30, you will need to make alternative arrangements for dinner. Room service is not available.

What is the dress code?

We recommend attire is smart casual; professional and comfortable. There will be the opportunity to explore the local scenery, so we suggest you pack comfortable shoes or trainers.

Question 9

Are transfers being arranged centrally?

Accepted Answer

Transfers from the airport to the venue on 15th June are NOT being arranged centrally. This is because there is such a wide range of arrival times that requests cannot be pooled together into one booking without attendees incurring excessive waiting times.

Please use taxi's from the airport or contact info@standingcars.com if you prefer to arrange a taxi transfer in advance.

Transfers from the venue on 17th June WILL be arranged centrally and you will be notified of your pick up time and location in due course.  A number of mini-buses will be arranged with departure times aligned to your return flights.
