Pre-Work
There is a small amount of pre-work that you will be asked to complete prior to attending the conference. You will find a list of all the tasks assigned to you and the due date assigned for each activity. Please make every effort to complete all actions by the date specified.
1. Conference Registration: Due Friday 24th April (mandatory)
We require everyone attending the conference to complete a registration form. This is because there is mandatory guest information that needs passing to the venue and the airport transfer company in advance of the event. The registration form also acts as your RSVP to confirm your attendance.

Please use the link here to access the form, or scan the QR code provided and complete the form by Friday 24th April.

You will need to provide details of your flights as part of the registration form, so it is recommended to book your flights first and then complete the registration form.
2. Your Shared Memories: Due Wednesday 13th May (mandatory)
A key objective for the conference is building connections and getting to know each other better.
As part of this, we are asking you to share a memory or short story that is meaningful and personal to you and and can be from either your childhood or adult life. It should relate to a Valeo product and is something that links you to our purpose “making everyday moments taste better”.
For example, this could be a moment shared with a parent and those “treat” moments that still stick in your mind and make you smile; a shared breakfast with friends with pancakes and waffles covered in maple syrup after a BIG night out; a funny moment with a family member or work colleague around a cake or biscuit break; or a sporting achievement where you reward yourself with sweets and candy to make it through those hard moments of low energy….
The more funny, interesting, emotional and unique the better so we get a little insight into the person behind the job title.

Your story needs to be no more than 100 words in length and should be a taster of the memory you want to share. You will have the chance to tell the fuller version at the event in small networking groups. You should also include one photo or image that supports your story, and that you are happy to share with the rest of the group at the event. (format can be either jpeg, PNG or PDF)

Please submit your story and photo, along with your name and job title to: Jenni@jsxcomms.co.uk by Wednesday 13th May.
Here is a story shared by Eveline Paternotte our Group Chief People Officer as an example:
A favourite memory from the early 80s was when Christmas meant a real tree with (unbelievably!) lit candles clipped to the branches. I’m about nine in this photo, wearing a beautifully handmade - but memorably itchy - jumper from my grandmother. I remember carefully decorating the tree, trying not to prick my fingers… the highlight was always the Schokoladen Kränze. We hung them as edible ornaments - half decoration, half reward. The excitement of being allowed to take one felt like Christmas itself. Looking back, they weren’t just sweets, but a tradition that connected generations and has stayed with me and my family ever since.
3. Questions for Bain Capital: Due Friday 29th May (recommended)
On Day 1 of the conference, we will be joined by Giacomo Massetti and Niclas Thamm from Bain Capital, our private equity investors since May 2021. Both have worked closely with Valeo Foods during this time and will be able to provide strategic insight into Valeo Foods from an expert investors lens.

This is your opportunity to submit a question to Bain and gain a greater insight into any topic you wish to know more about. This could include hearing directly from them on their investment strategy and long-term aspirations. It can also include a deeper dive into market trends, our performance, value creation opportunities, as well as challenges they think we may face as part of our ongoing transformation and growth.

Dependant on the number of questions submitted, any questions not answered during the session will be picked up post-event and posted on here for follow up . We encourage as many questions as possible.
4. Update your Headshot: Due Friday 29th May (optional)
You may have noticed that we've created an Attendees page to help accelerate building relationships with other colleagues that you may be meeting for the first time at the conference. If you would like to update the headshot we have used to a more recent photo, or if you don't have a headshot included, please send this to group.communication@valeofoods.com to update.

Your photo should be a high-resolution and recent photograph that accurately represents you. Ideally it should be taken from the chest upwards, against a simple, non-distracting background and provide a clear unobstructed view of your face that will make it easy for others to identify you in person. Group shots should not be included.
Photo's can be submitted in jpeg, PNG or PDF format.
